West Services was awarded the refurbishment of the welfare facilities at Streatham Railway Depot, delivering a full upgrade across the site’s gents’ and ladies’ toilet facilities, shower blocks, and kitchen and breakout areas.
Working closely alongside GTR’s Depot Projects Team over several months, the project required detailed coordination, planning, and collaboration to ensure the works were delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard throughout.
The refurbishment works included full re-tiling across all toilet and shower facilities, alongside upgrades to the mechanical, electrical, and wet service systems. New suspended ceiling grid systems, sanitary ware, and Altro safety flooring were installed throughout, while all internal doors were laminated with high-pressure laminate faces to improve durability and longevity. The project also included the design, manufacture, and installation of bespoke cubicle systems supplied in-house, together with full redecoration works to complete the upgraded spaces.
The kitchen and breakout facilities were also fully modernised with the installation of new kitchen units and appliances, hygienic wall cladding, upgraded M&E and wet services, new suspended ceilings, Altro safety flooring, and full redecoration throughout.
